Student User Guide

Note: Docs currently use http://localhost:3000 for links. This should be updated for a live site.

Account

Sign Up

• Navigate to the Open-Response Signup page and select I am a student.
• Enter the following information to create your account:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Password
• Then select Get Started.

Log In

• Navigate to the Open-Response Log In page and enter your email and password.
• Then select Log in.

Forgot Password

• From the Log In page, select Forgot your password?, or navigate directly to the Password Reset page.
• Enter your email address to send a confirmation code to your email, then select Send Code.
• Check your email and enter the code received, then submit and enter a new password.

Edit Profile Information

• Navigate to the Open-Response Profile page, then select Edit.
• Edit any of the information you would like to update, then select Save.

Join a Course

• Navigate to the Open-Response Student Landing page.
• Enter the course Join Code in the Join Course blip.
• Then select + Join Course.

Join a Lecture

• Navigate to the Open-Response Student Landing page and select View for the course you would like to join a lecture for.
• Select Join lecture on the lecture you would like to join.

Answer Lecture Questions

• Follow the steps above to join a lecture, and view the lecture questions.
• To answer each lecture question, select View Question on each question.
• Select the options you would like to choose for your answer, then select Submit. Your responses will be automatically recorded and submitted to your instructor.
