+## Base field
+
+A field that represents responses for proposals and/or attributes of
+organizations. For example, a base field of `organization_mission_statement` may
+be part of an application form field labeled "What is your mission statement?"
+or may be part of an organization's attributes returned by a data provider.

+
+A person or group that makes change. For example, a grant applicant, grant
+recipient, non-profit organization, or an individual seeking funds.
