A Vintage Story mod that allows recycling of tools by dismantling them into their components.

Features

• Dismantle helve hammers into hammer heads and sticks
• Salvage metal bits from hammer heads and pounder caps
• Works with all metal types: tin bronze, bismuth bronze, black bronze, iron, meteoric iron, and steel

Recipes

Dismantling Helve Hammer

• Place an axe above a helve hammer in the crafting grid
• Produces: 1 hammer head

Salvaging Metal from Hammer Head

• Place a chisel above a hammer head in the crafting grid
• Produces: 20 metal bits
• Consumes 50 durability from the chisel

Salvaging Metal from Pounder Cap

• Place a chisel above a pounder cap in the crafting grid
• Produces: 10 metal bits
• Consumes 50 durability from the chisel

Salvaging Flint from Tools

• Use a hammer above flint tools in the crafting grid
• 2 axes/spades/knives/hoes → 1 flint chip
• 4 spears → 1 flint chip
• 12 arrowheads → 1 flint chip
• Flint chips can be processed: pop on firepit → grind in quern → silica dust

Installation

1. Download the latest release from the Releases page
2. Place the ZIP file in your Vintage Story Mods folder
3. Start the game and enjoy!

• Vintage Story 1.20.4+
• Works with vanilla game content
• No additional dependencies required
