Overview

Project Axis is an independent, student-led initiative designed to track and explain the global development of advanced AI systems. The platform helps the public understand:

  • How artificial intelligence is evolving

  • What experts are warning about AGI

  • How close humanity may be to achieving AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)

Built as a transparent observatory, Project Axis separates fact from hype and progress from speculation, providing clarity on this rapidly evolving field.

  • AGI Timeline: Interactive visualization of AI milestones, from historical events to predicted future developments.

  • AGI Probability Dashboard: Forecast models assessing the likelihood of AGI emergence in different timeframes.

  • AI Model Benchmarks: Performance comparisons for top AI models across reasoning, coding, vision, and instruction-following tasks.

  • Voices from the Frontier: Curated quotes from leading AI researchers and scientists.

  • Research Publications: Short-form, student-led reports documenting methods, data sources, and findings.

  • Data Transparency: All sources and methodology are archived for public reference.

Contribution

Currently, Project Axis is a solo, student-run project, but contributions are welcome in the form of:

  • Data verification and updates

  • Research publications

  • Frontend improvements

  • Documentation enhancements
