This 8-week workshop will teach the basics of the Python programming language with a focus on managing data. Each week will cover the following topics:
- January 28th - Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 1
- February 4th - Data Centric Python with Jupyter Part 2
- February 11th - Computing Environments and the Unix Shell
- February 18th - Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part One
- February 25th - Data Processing with Python and Pandas Part Two
- March 3rd - Data Visualization with Python
- March 10th - No workshop. Spring Break!
- March 17th - Relational Databases and SQL Part One
- March 24th - Relational Databases and SQL Part Two
Times:
- The Data Basics workshop series will be Tuesdays from 8:00am - 10:50am
Location:
- Instructional Lab Room 305 - Information Sciences Building (135 North Bellefield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15260)

Bring a laptop (and power). You do not need to install any software, everythign will be running in the cloud.
