NOTES:

This is just a stable release, recompiled with latest SDK (gcc v10.4.0, Buildroot -g03142e8c ) to be compatible with current CFW.

ISSUES:

  • save state frequently bugs out when trying to load-state in a new play session (i.e. after restarting emulator).

NOTES:

  • this is a compatible build, with static musl libs (works also on uclibc img)
  • to install run this IPK pkg from latest gmenu2x's explorer (available in MiyooCFW 2.0)

Build of FinalBurn Alpha (FBA) for the Miyoo CFW, intended for post-BittBoy devices, with updated button mapping in the menu (correct A and B buttons, Reset button to call the menu), working/saving customisable button mapping per game, smoother graphics while screen scaling (thanks to Littlehui), and properly working Capcom sound (QSound) emulation, patched in from FinalBurn Neo.

Installation instructions:
Just replace the binary in "emus/fba(-a320)" with this one.

Note:
The location for the CFG files and save states has changed from ".fba_a320" to simply ".fba". Unless there are save states you wish to move/preserve, you can safely delete ".fba_a320".

Known bugs:
Save state loading only works reliably within the same play session. It frequently bugs out when trying to load a previous save state in a new play session (i.e. after you quit and relaunch the emulator). This same behaviour has been present in previous releases of FBA on Miyoo, and it's something that needs fixing. If you wish to look into it, feel free -- the source code is here, and help is welcome.

Tip: If the emulator for whatever reason freezes, and you can't access the menu to quit it, hold the Reset button and press Select to force the software to quit and neatly shut down the device (without data corruption). Once the screen turns off, you can flip the switch.
