Welcome to the Fluvial Geomorphology Course Website! The website is primarily for students of the WATS 5150/6150 and GEO 5150/6150 introductory fluvial geomorphology course taught at Utah State University. Secondary audiences may include other students and practitioners looking for an introduction to fluvial geomorphology and the study of riverscapes.

The WATS 5150 Fluvial Geomorphology Class was first taught in this refactored form by Joe Wheaton in Spring 2020 (version 1). This is the first time (Spring 2022, v 2) that I packaged a release for the course, and is it is the second version of the co-taught course. Though the course web page has always been open-source on GitHub, this release is to make the course more F-A-I-R via Zeondo tracking. It consists solely of the GitHub hosted markdown/jekyll web site, which other instructors are free to fork and host on their own repositories (and modify for your purposes), or other instructors or students can re-use any of the teaching materials here (subject to the Creative Commons Attribution licenses).
