Oil
In order to get to the Moon, you are going to need fuel (specifically Light Fuel), and in order to get fuel, you need to find oil.
The biomes that oil spouts can be found in are listed below.
- Ocean (including Deep Ocean and Frozen Ocean)
- Cold Beach
- Desert (including Desert Hills and Mutated Desert/Desert M)
- Extreme Hills (including Mutated Extreme Hills/Extreme Hills M)
- Ice Plains
- Savanna
- Mesa
- Brushland
- Cold Desert
- Dead Forest
- Dead Swamp
- Gravel Beach
- Outback
- Quagmire
- Shield
- Snowy Tundra
- Tundra
- Wasteland
- Xeric Shrubland
There are some biomes where you are much more likely to find oil (although this is not a guarantee, especially if the biome is small), they are as follows:
- Ocean Oil Field
- Desert Oil Field
- Cold Desert Oil Field
Below are some pictures of a moveable oil rig including a rocket launch pad, quarters for the crew, a refinery and a pipe sealant auto-crafter using the residue which is a by-product of the refining process.
Davinci's Vessels is the mod which allows the oil rig to be moved from one oil spout to another.
