Beach Cleanup Data

An open data standard for exchange and storage of beach litter data

Goals

• Create an international standard for storing and presenting beach litter data, so that various organizations can share and aggregate data.
• Create a standard dictionary of litter.
• Make the standard open for everyone to contribute and adopt.
• Make the data available in machine-readable format.
