Fix resolution
This[ library hooks into DirectX calls and allows overriding some values like screen resolution and transparency method.
Run the game using Steam. Make sure to choose High settings in its launcher, otherwise another configuration file, an unmodified one, may be used.

If you don't trust "Fix-Bolt.exe"
Throw the archives into the folder with the game with a replacement.
