The Library Management Application is designed to be a user-friendly tool for librarians and students. This program is made to keep track of all the goings-on in the library. The goals for this program are:
• Effortless Check-Out Process: Enable a swift and simple system for borrowing books.
• Book Tracking: Observe which books are being taken out by library patrons.
• Accessible Inventory: Provide a large, user-friendly database for searching the library’s collection of books.

- Download and install Visual Studio IDE from the official website: Visual Studio Downloads
- Download and install XAMPP, which includes Apache, MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin, from the Apache Friends website: XAMPP Downloads
- Once installed, start the XAMPP Control Panel.
- Start the Apache and MySQL modules by clicking on their respective "Start" buttons.
- Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/.
- This will open the phpMyAdmin interface where you can manage your MySQL databases.
- Navigate to the db_setup folder in the repository.
- Locate the SQL file named librarymanagementsystem.sql
- Log in to your phpMyAdmin dashboard.
- Select the database where you want to import the SQL file.
- Click on the "Import" tab.
- Choose the SQL file you downloaded in step 1.
- Click "Go" to initiate the import process.

Once the import process is complete, you should see a success message.

Verify that the database tables and data have been imported correctly.

Upon succesful import you could see the database tables created through the import.
- Open a terminal or command prompt.
- Run the following command to clone the repository to your local machine:
git clone https://github.com/RuwiniP/Library_Management_System.git
- Open Visual Studio IDE.
- Go to File > Open > Project/Solution.
- Navigate to the directory where you cloned the repository and select the solution file (usually ending with .sln extension) to open the project in Visual Studio.
- Make sure you have followed all the DB Setup Instructions before you run the project.
- Upon Succesful run you could see the below login page:
