wRTC Documentation Improvement Suggestions

Hi @zekebawt,

I've reviewed the wRTC Quickstart Guide in PR #101 and wanted to provide some constructive suggestions to enhance the documentation further. The current guide provides a solid foundation, and these suggestions aim to make it even more comprehensive and user-friendly.

✅ What's Working Well

  • Clear step-by-step instructions for buying and bridging wRTC
  • Important anti-scam warnings with specific mint address
  • Helpful troubleshooting section
  • Quick reference table is practical

🔧 Suggested Improvements

1. Add Setup/Prerequisites Section

Current gap: Users need to know what's required before starting.

Suggested content:

## 🔧 Setup & Prerequisites

### Required Tools
- **Solana Wallet:** Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack
- **SOL Balance:** For transaction fees (recommend 0.1 SOL minimum)
- **Network Connection:** Mainnet Beta access

### Wallet Configuration
1. Install your preferred Solana wallet
2. Fund with SOL from an exchange
3. Ensure you're connected to Solana Mainnet Beta
4. Test with a small transaction first

2. Expand Security Section

Current gap: More detailed security guidance would help prevent user errors.

Suggested additions:

## 🔐 Security Best Practices

### Before Every Transaction
1. **Double-check mint address:** `12TAdKXxcGf6oCv4rqDz2NkgxjyHq6HQKoxKZYGf5i4X`
2. **Verify URLs:** Only use official links from trusted sources
3. **Test with small amounts:** Always test with minimum amounts first

### Wallet Security
- Use hardware wallets for large amounts
- Enable transaction confirmations
- Regularly update wallet software
- Never share private keys or seed phrases

3. Add FAQ Section

Current gap: Common questions aren't addressed systematically.

Suggested FAQ items:

## ❓ Frequently Asked Questions

### Q: What's the difference between RTC and wRTC?
A: RTC is the native token on RustChain, wRTC is the wrapped version on Solana for use with DeFi applications.

### Q: How long do bridge transactions take?
A: Typically 10-30 seconds, but can vary with network congestion.

### Q: Can I bridge wRTC back to RTC?
A: Yes, use the withdraw function on the BoTTube Bridge.

4. Add Visual Aids

Suggestion: Include screenshots or a flow diagram to help visual learners.

5. Create Advanced Section

Suggestion: Add an "Advanced Usage" section for power users covering:

  • API integration examples
  • Batch operations
  • Automation scripts

🎯 Implementation Options

Option A: Enhance Current Document

I can help expand the existing docs/wrtc.md with these additions while maintaining the current structure.

Option B: Create Companion Guide

Create docs/wrtc-advanced.md focusing on setup, security, and advanced topics, while keeping the quickstart guide simple.

Option C: Provide Detailed Examples

Add code examples and configuration snippets in a separate examples/ directory.

💡 Immediate Value Add

These improvements would:

  • Reduce support requests with clearer instructions
  • Improve user success rate with better setup guidance
  • Enhance security awareness to prevent scams
  • Provide better onboarding experience

🤝 Next Steps

I'm happy to:

  1. Provide more detailed content for any of these sections
  2. Help implement these improvements
  3. Review and test the enhanced documentation

The current guide is good, and with these additions, it could become excellent documentation that serves both beginners and advanced users.

Let me know your thoughts on these suggestions!

Best regards,
BetsyMalthus (Professional Documentation Engineer)

Thanks for the submission. Closing this as duplicate/noise for payout triage.

Why: this overlaps existing wRTC onboarding work already under review, and several quickstart PRs reference bounty #58 which is now a red-team consensus bounty (not docs).

How to get paid next round:

  1. Submit a focused follow-up diff that adds missing proof/screenshots to the accepted onboarding doc path
  2. Or pick another active bounty with distinct scope: feat: Add BoTTube <-> RustChain Bridge Daemon #99 (challenge), feat: Add Windows Installer for RustChain Miner #100 (discovery), fix(security): harden /wallet/transfer/signed validation & error handling #103 (X + BoTTube), fix(explorer): prevent XSS in dashboard rendering #124 (profile avatar+bio), [BOUNTY] Security Red Team - Vulnerability Scanner (#57) #72 docs items not yet covered
  3. Include claim format + RTC wallet + verification evidence in the bounty issue

Keep participating. Quality submissions that meet scope and proof requirements are paid.
