My name is Darren and I'm a Computer Science major at New York University intrested in backend software development and data science. I have experience with various programming languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, Flask, and Hikari, as well as working with Microsoft Azure's cloud tools.
I've had the opportunity to work with an industry-leading firm, Balyasny Asset Management, where I gained valuable experience in financial research and software engineering, specifically compliance and trading technologies.
In addition to my work, I'm also a student Tech Opinion Contributor for The Wall Street Journal and the co-founder and Lead Developer of Limbless Devs, a project development team aimed at making technical concepts more accessible to students with less technical backgrounds. I've also built a Discord bot that can automate giveaways through ROBLOX's Groups and Auth API endpoints and another bot that can engage in concurrent conversations and respond in multiple text channels through OpenAI's GPT-3.5-Turbo model.
One of my goals as an engineer is to develop and innovate technologies that keep networks of communities interconnected. Through my work, I aim to foster greater connectivity and facilitate the growth of communities. Whether it's building tools that enable collaboration and communication or developing systems that enable better information sharing and knowledge dissemination, I believe that technology has the potential to transform the way we connect and interact with each other.
By working towards this goal, I hope to contribute to a world where communities are empowered to solve problems and create positive change, and where networking is not just a means of advancing one's career, but a way of building meaningful relationships and supporting each other's growth.
