Autonomous robots are increasingly used across industries, necessitating safe human-robot collaboration. Current solutions involve costly and complex sensing technologies, like computer vision and LIDAR, which also raise privacy concerns. This project proposes using smart gloves to streamline human-robot interaction. The gloves' embedded sensors will provide data for AI algorithms to translate human gestures into robot commands in real-time. The system will be tested across various industries and complexities to assess its performance and usability.
The directory structure in this GitHub is to allow the project to have all its resources self-contained. Open Source software should not just be a repository of code. There are a number of directories to help you and others who will follow in your footsteps. It'll also allow the Linux Foundation OMP Mentorship program to keep track of your project and get a better understanding of the problems you encountered during the development of this project.
