📌 Project Description

This project is a backend application built with NestJS and GraphQL that demonstrates a modern, production-grade architecture for building APIs. It integrates authentication, authorization, database persistence, and testing—showcasing strong backend engineering skills.

🔑 Key Features

  • NestJS with GraphQL (Apollo Server)
    • Code-first approach with automatic schema generation.
    • Queries and mutations for managing Users and authentication flows.
  • Authentication & Authorization
    • Secure JWT-based authentication with access & refresh tokens.
    • Global guards (AccessTokenGuard) applied to protect resolvers.
  • Database Integration
    • Secure JWT-based authentication with access & refresh tokens.
    • Entities such as UserEntity and UserAuthEntity with input DTOs for validation.
  • Security & Best Practices
    • Password hashing with argon2.
    • Input validation using class-validator and class-transformer.
    • Configurable environment variables via @nestjs/config.
  • Testing & Code Quality
    • Unit and e2e testing with Jest and Supertest.
    • ESLint + Prettier for linting and formatting.
  • Developer Experience
    • Apollo Sandbox integration for GraphQL queries.
    • Hot-reload with start:dev.
    • Modular, scalable codebase with clear separation of concerns (AuthModule, UserModule).

🚀 Skills & Frameworks Highlighted

  • Frameworks & Languages: NestJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, Apollo Server.

  • Authentication: JWT, Passport strategies, Guards & Interceptors.

  • Databases & ORMs: PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM, database migrations.

  • Security: Hashing (argon2), validation, role-based access control patterns.

  • Testing: Jest, Supertest, unit and e2e testing.

  • Dev Tools & Practices: ESLint, Prettier, CI-friendly scripts.
