##Welcome to the K-9 Mail wiki!

We're in the process of switching the wiki from Google Code to github. The old wiki is here.

K-9 Mail is an open source email client based on the Email application shipped with the initial release of Android.

K-9 Mail is focused on making it easy to chew through large volumes of email. It's our hope that K-9 Mail leads to improvements in the core Android mail client.

If you're interested in contributing, please drop us a line.

  • ReleaseNotes describes changes in each version of K-9 Mail
  • BuildingK9 describes how to build the project
  • Manual contains the beginnings of a user manual.

This summer, we have four students working on K-9 full time through Google's Summer of Code program. GSoC 2011 Projects will tell you a bit more about those projects

A number of other projects are BasedOnK9, and lots of other software Works With K-9.
