xping - send XCMP ECHO_REQUEST to network hosts
xping [-fqrv] [-c COUNT] [-i INTERVAL] [-l PRELOAD] [-s PKTSIZE] host
- -c COUNT
- stop after sending pings
- -h, --help
- display this help
- -f
- flood ping. For every ECHO_REQUEST sent a period '.' is printed, while for ever ECHO_REPLY received a backspace is printed. This provides a rapid display of how many packets are being dropped.
- -i INTERVAL
- wait interval seconds between packets
- -l PRELOAD
- fire off PRELOAD packets immediately wait interval seconds between pings
- -q
- quiet mode
- -s PKTSIZE
- send packets of size PKTSIZE bytes
- -v
- verbose output
- -V --version
- display the version number
