Road_Accident_Analysis

Developed an interactive dashboard showcasing road safety trends. Features included slicers, donut charts, and a map chart highlighting Total Current Year Casualties, Accidents, and Fatalities. Developed a comprehensive Excel dashboard that provided key insights into road safety, including primary KPIs such as Total Current Year Casualties, Total Current Year Accidents, and Current Year Fatal, Serious, and Slight Casualties. Utilized slicers to allow stakeholders to easily filter data by road and weather conditions, and created interactive visualizations including a map chart showing the location of accidents and donut charts highlighting the distribution of accidents by urban/rural and day/night. Created secondary KPIs for different vehicle types and a bar chart showing casualties by road type, providing stakeholders with a more detailed view of road safety trends. Implemented data cleaning and transformation processes to ensure accurate and reliable reporting, functionality of the dashboard and provide additional insights

Quick Summary

  1. Imported the dataset in Power BI and did a bit of cleaning using Power Querry Editor.

  2. Customized canvas background using powerpoint.

  3. Used some user friendly charts for better representation of data.

  4. Created some useful Measures for some complex calculations using DAX.

  5. Used some of the formatting options for better visualization.

  6. Used map chart for Accident Location.

  7. Made two useful Slicers to get dynamic insights for all type of conditions.

  8. Edited interactions for certain charts to ensure that they remained static when other charts were clicked, enhancing the user experience and making it easier for stakeholders to understand

  9. Created a interactive and dynamic dashboard at the end.
