If you do not have multibeam sonar data available, here are some ideas to find some. Make sure to first check the User Guide for data formats supported by Espresso.
- Search open science data repositories like Zenodo or Seanoe. For example, a Kongsberg EM 2040C dataset acquired over an artificial patch of kelp is available at this link. This is the data that was used in this research article.
- NGU may offer upon request the FOSAE-2015-BH03 Kongsberg EM 710 dataset, which contains gas flares. Contact shyam.chand@ngu.no for information and request.
- Sonar manufacturers may gladly offer you to download test data.
If you have data publicly available and want to make it known on this page, please contact the authors.
- The processing of acoustic data in Espresso is often highly simplified. It does not process data to the level of quality and speed of a professional hydrographic software. If you need professional results, you will need professional software. As detailed in the code's LICENSE file, the authors are not liable for any issues arising from using this software.
- Espresso is under active development so this wiki may lag behind the development of the software itself. See the date and version validity at the bottom of each page, and contact the authors if anything does not work or is inaccurate.
Valid as of 01 May 2024 (Espresso v1.0.0). Contact the authors if something is inaccurate or does not work.
