Gesture Mode
Gesture Mode is an alternative game mode which is a brand new innovation of Tapad.
Gesture mode of playing can only be implied when playing a gesture preset, marked by icon [img] in preset store and preset selection menu. Get presets made for gesture modes to enjoy gesture mode of playing!
Normal presets cannot be used for gesture mode.
Originally, a panel can only be tapped (when sliding does more than wasting your energy from the fingers). But in gesture mode, each panel in a deck can be slid up, down, left or right to play different sounds.
To slide a panel, tap and hold on a square and then slide it in any one of the four directions, and the sound will be played in accordance to the panel and the direction.
It's true that the mode will increase the difficulty on playing the preset, but it is certainly much more fun, isn't it!
A gesture preset has typically more sound clip slots (actually four times that of a normal preset, if fully used), so it can be significantly bigger and consume a longer time to load every time. When making a gesture preset, please try to lower its difficulty when playing the preset. For example, part of the sequence can be: At the same panel, slide it up, right, down, left, one at a time.
However, it's sometimes easier to make a gesture preset if you have a preset made for launchpad already. A launchpad preset has more clip capacity, and Tapad's gesture mode shares the same feature. (Actually there is 8x8x8=512 on Launchpad, and 5x17x4=340 on Tapad's gesture mode.)
IDK..
How to even make a tutorial? Who knows...
