Welcome to the course on Cardano Node and Cardano-CLI! This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to use the Cardano Node and Cardano-CLI as an end user, a stake pool operator and a governance actor. By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of how to use the Cardano Node and Cardano-CLI in a variety of roles and scenarios.
- Building and running cardano-node on different environments
- Cardano protocol parameters and configuration files
- Create transactions involving ada, native assets, simple scripts and Plutus smart contracts
- How Cardano governance works and how to create update proposals
- Create your own testnet and use update proposals to bring it all the way up from Byron to the latest era.
- How P2P topology works
- Use the new tracing system for cardano-node
This course on Cardano Node and Cardano-CLI is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience by combining video lessons, practical examples and exercises. Each topic covered in the course will begin with a video lesson that provides an overview of the subject matter and explains key concepts followed by an end to end tutorial on the topic. These examples will be accompanied by step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process.
In addition, the course will also include a series of exercises that will allow you to practice and apply the knowledge and skills you have learned. These exercises will be designed to progressively build upon one another, allowing you to gradually increase your proficiency in using the Cardano Node and Cardano-CLI.
The course consists of 2 main sections:
- the video lessons where the instructor guides you through the process of doing things
- the handbook containing detailed instructions and links to documentation, tutorials and other relevant materials.
