Why, oh why?

Ok so this is my first attempt at using Github, modifying Moodle Code, or using PHP!!. So this code could be really bad, however in my defence, most of it is simple snippets I found in other Moodle files that achieved what I wanted..so it cant be too bad right.

This has actually been a lot of fun, I'm firmly of the belief that Moodle needs to be better at linking Courses together but by being Open Source, this will eventually happen. The Descendants and Ascendants blocks are a key piece of this puzzle and deserve the attention of Moodlers everywhere.
