Looks like Microsoft totally broke the PS Get-AppxPackage command ith the 24H2 update! 😤 Even trying to run it with Invoke-Command just blows up with the dreaded 'Type initializer for Module threw an exception' error. Can anyone confirm this? As a result, the app management/Microsoft Cleanup Companion plugin isn't working right now either in SuperMSConfig. We rely on the Get-AppxPackage command in the app to dig deep into Windows and identify all those pre-installed apps (you know, the ones cluttering your system). This cmdlet is key for listing, managing, and even removing "bloatware"
- Added New category for Windows 11 Personalization
- App startup times have been improved. The first launch takes longer, but subsequent starts are now faster. If you don't want to use the Copilot plugin, you can delete it from the plugins folder for an extra speed boost
- The UI has been slightly refreshed and the color scheme optimized
- I have also tested the app on Windows 10 22H2 and can confirm partial support. If the app doesn't start, consider installing the WebView2 Evergreen Runtime, or alternatively, you can choose to stop using the "PluginClipilot" in SuperMSConfig. To do this, simply delete the mentioned plugin from the plugins folder, and the app should start.
- Template integration (external configurations) has been improved. Now, clicking the "+" button gives a much cleaner overview
- Templates under the "App" category (e.g., old Bloatynosy Classic config) have been optimized
- A feature to check for app updates has been added
- Plugin loading has been separated from the msconfig tools, meaning the msconfig tools load when you click on the main menu, making things smoother
- Versioning has been slightly revised. The app may adopt a calendar-based or even feature-based versioning system in the future
- Compatibility with xd-AntiSpy configurations has been improved
- About window has been refreshed
- Minor bugs in the summary and result display have been fixed.
- Code has been cleaned up and streamlined in several areas
- Numerous smaller bugs have been fixed.
