  • Script to merge NTD monthly ridership Excel file (UPT sheet) to RTPA crosswalk
    • Crosswalk for NTD ID to RTPA is in GCS bucket - using this from open data portal
  • Write each RTPA csv out individually, save zipped file out in GCS
  • Notebook is parameterized and hosted in our portfolio as ntd_monthly_ridership, with basic trends by agency, mode, and type of service over time and change against prior year
    • any future work on this should warrant larger discussion of how heavily we want to clean NTD data
    • NTD data here looks exactly like the raw NTD, but if we want to make further use, we definitely want to clean up column names, do some additional wrangling (here, wide to long) is needed + adding new columns for change against prior year
    • more wrangling needed if we're making charts, values like 1/2023 and 10/2023 are not suitable for displaying because they aren't ordered the way we want
