The MKS-80 adaptation can only request the internal bank of the synth, which is not a limitation by knobkraft, but due to the fact that the MKS-80 is ancient. So even if you switch from "internal" to "A" you get 64 different sounds that are stored in the cartridge, but those cannot be requested over sysex.

You can however copy banks between a cartridge and the internal memory and therefore request and subsequently organize all patches in knobkraft.

The "request bank from synth" works great (in contrary to what you read on the internet, which states that this is not possible), and also sending patches from knobkraft to the edit buffer of the synth works flawlessly.

Be aware that as there's no patch names on the MKS-80 (only patch numbers), there obviously isn't a possibility to change the name of a preset within knobkraft.

If you are looking for a memory card, the MC-256 - Memory Cartridge from SynthastiX / Waverex, which has 256 banks works great. https://shop.waverex.de/en/mc-256-memory-cartridge-for-roland-m64-c-compatible-devices.html
