How to use Compare Parameter Element

Introduction

Basically, this tool allows you quickly visualize difference parameter between two elements in Revit.

How to Use this tool:

  1. Selecting Elements:
  • Click on the ribbon to select two elements.
  • Choose the two elements you want to compare.
  1. Viewing Parameter Differences:
  • The user interface will display the differing parameters between the two selected elements.
  1. Inverting Comparison:
  • Toggle the option to invert the comparison between the two selected elements if needed.
  1. Exporting Comparison Results:
  • To save the compared results, use the "Export" function.
  1. Additional Options:

You can also utilize the context menu for further selections or utilize external tools for in-depth analysis.

  1. Similarity Number Meaning:

Cosine Similarity measures the cosine of the angle between two embeddings. When the embeddings are pointing in the same direction the angle between them is zero so their cosine similarity is 1 when the embeddings are orthogonal the angle between them is 90 degrees and the cosine similarity is 0 finally when the angle between them is 180 degrees the the cosine similarity is -1.

Example :

  • 🤧🤧 compare with 🤧 : Similarity score is 0.5
  • 😊😊😊compare with 😂 : similarity score is 0
  • -1 is another case.

Context Menu :

  1. Selecting Element1:

When you select "Element1," it will highlight the corresponding element with "Value1" in Revit.

  1. Selecting Element2:

When you select "Element2," it will highlight the relevant element with "Value2" in Revit.

  1. Snooping Elements:

To inspect both elements in more detail, you can use an external tool to snoop their properties and attributes.

Toggle.

The toggle feature enables you to invert the comparison between Element1 and Element2 without requiring reselection.

Note : When you click toggle selection element also invert.

Export Csv :

Export Csv will export also depend on your result result from textbox. Example, you want export Area value, you just need search Area and click export.In case you want export all parameter difference, just without no search.
