ShellENV4J - Shell environment for java projects

Usage example

  $ cd project_basedir
  $ java -version  # no java in PATH
The program 'java' is currently not installed.
  $ mvn -version  # # no maven in PATH
The program 'mvn' is currently not installed.

  $ . ENV.sh  # that's all

  $ java -version  # project's java is now in PATH!
java version "1.8.0_101"
  $ mvn -version  # project's maven is now in PATH!

Install

cd your_project_basedir
wget https://goo.gl/kYnxxZ -O ENV.sh
ln -s <path_to_java_home> jdk
ln -s <path_to_maven_home> maven

Recommendations

If your project is under version control (git, right?), the suggestion is:

• Commit ENV.sh
• Ignore jdk and maven symlinks
