docker-compose demo

This is a very basic docker-compose demo. It will bring up a couple of different services (flask, redis, mongo) and create a very basic webapp. When the environment is brought up, the mongo database is seeded with zip code information. The webapp will then randomly pull a zip code from mongo and display the info for that town as well as keeping track of the number of hits and displaying that as well. It will also bring up an ELK instance and send all logs to that.

Requirements

• docker v1.10 or higher
• docker-compose (pip install docker-compose)

Runining

• Clone this repo
• cd into repo
• run: docker-compose up -d
• point browser at localhost on port 5000 to access the webapp
• kibana can be reached at localhost on port 5601 for viewing logs
• profit
