Note! On later versions of Pi OS (2023.10) you will probably get an error that say "error: externally-managed-environment". Checkout Jeff Geerlings post here on one way to solve this.

sudo pip3 install -U pymodbus pymodbusTCP
sudo systemctl restart domoticz- Make sure to have the setting "Accept new Hardware Devices" turned on for new devices to be added when adding the Hardware in domoticz.
cd ~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-SMA-Inverter
git pull
sudo systemctl restart domoticzDocker example files added in the folder docker. Note that you might have to modify these files to fit your system. To update to new docker vesion:
cd ~/domoticz/plugins/Domoticz-SMA-Inverter/docker
sudo docker pull domoticz/domoticz
sudo docker build . -t domoticz-sma
# cd {folder_used_to_run_your_docker_files} e.g. /opt/domoticz
