EBBR (Brussels Airport)
The EBBR Brussels airport is really massive in FlightGear. Around the EBBR airport you will also find a huge amount of buildings and other landmarks. For example in the Brussels city you will find a lot of custom made buildings. If you know the city very good, you should recognize many buildings/landmarks and find your way without aircraft instruments :) Very close to EBBR you have the EBGB airfield and the EBSW heliport. In Brussels you have also a few spots where you can land with you helicopter. If you love to fly between buildings with a helicopter, then Brussels is your ideal fly zone. The EBBR Airport and Brussels and surround is probably the most dense zone available in FlightGear.
This repository contains many more objects than what's currently available through TerraSync. Some parts of the EBBR have been pushed to the TerraSync scenery server somewhere around 2015. The EBBR airport has never been completely pushed it seems. The whole north and north west aren't available in FlightGear. There's also some glitches with flying objects in the TerraSync version.
If you're new at this scenery, i strongly recommend you to take first a good flight with the ufo. It will permit you to take a closer look to the EBBR airport and it's surroundings.
From the EBBR airport you can quickly take some little flight to it's very close EBGB airfield.
Nice trips:
- EBSW to EBBR: Take the Bell helicopter. Take off from the beautiful EBSW heliport. Fly around Brussels and land on EBBR. During your flight you can also take a look to the EBGB airfield.
- EBBR to EBGB: Take a Cessna 172. Take off at EBBR and fly arround Brussels and land on EBGB.
