This is an implementation of the Luhn mod N algorithm in Swift.
Features :
- Add the check digit to a string
- Check the validity of a string
- Works in mod 2 to 36
CocoaPods is a dependency manager for Cocoa projects. You can install it with the following command:
$ gem install cocoapods
To integrate LuhnModN into your Xcode project using CocoaPods, add this line in your Podfile:
pod 'LuhnModN'
By default the mod is 10 because it's the most used.
let visa = try? LuhnModN.addCheckCharacter(to: "401288888888188")
To use another modulo, simply add it as parameter :
let hexaString = try? LuhnModN.addCheckCharacter(to: "1450c2697d3a4925a1ec59f5dd3a9956", withModulo: 16)
There are two possible errors :
enum LuhnError: Error {
case invalidCharacters
case moduloOutOfRange
}
By default the mod is 10 because it's the most used.
LuhnModN.isValid("4012888888881881")
To use another modulo, simply add it as parameter :
LuhnModN.isValid("1450c2697d3a4925a1ec59f5dd3a9956b", withModulo : 16)
