In this section, we'll cover the process of creating users, setting permissions, and managing user hierarchies within Tibula.
- Navigate to the "Administration" tab.
- Go to "Users" and view the current users.
- Create a new user, e.g., "userOne," with a password, default module as "addressBook," and default language as English.
- Save the new user.
- Access, on a new browser tab, the newly created user, "userOne."
- As "userOne," observe that no commands or data are visible at this point.
- Navigate to "Permissions", on admin tab, top right corner clicking on the Links button and connect all relevant permissions for the "addressBook" module.
- Save the permissions.
- As "userOne," add data to the "addressBook" module (e.g., "Minnie Mouse").
- Switch to "admin" and observe that "admin" can see userOne's data.
- As "admin" go to "Administration" -> "Groups."
- Create a new group, e.g., "addressBookUsers," and save it.
- In "Groups," connect the "addressBook" module to the "addressBookUsers" group.
- Verify that the module is correctly connected.
- Go back to "Users."
- Connect "admin" to the "addressBookUsers" group.
- Do the same for "userOne."
- Check that both users are now part of the "addressBookUsers" group.
- Go to "Administration" -> "Groups" and find the "addressBookUsers" group.
- Connect relevant permissions directly to the group, e.g., "Search," "New," "Edit."
- Save the group permissions.
- Log in as "userOne" and observe that commands and data from "admin" are now visible.
- Create a new user, e.g., "userTwo," with default module "addressBook" and English as the default language.
- Log in as "userTwo" and note that commands and shared data are visible without individually assigning permissions.
Congratulations! You have successfully created users, managed permissions, and established user hierarchies within Tibula.
