This repository contains the digitised Holle List in Stokhof (1980). Details and the interactive web version of the list can be accessed via https://engganolang.github.io/digitised-holle-list/ (Rajeg 2023).

The work in this repository is part of the AHRC-funded project on Lexical resources for Enggano, a threatened language of Indonesia (central webpage of the Enggano project: https://enggano.ling-phil.ox.ac.uk/)

Updates in version 1.3.0

  • Adding the cross-linguistic data format (CLDF) version (Forkel et al. 2018) of the Holle List. In this CLDF version, the English column becomes the gloss for the Dutch and Indonesian forms (in the forms.csv). The parameters table contains the Concepticon concept sets mapping to the English gloss.
  • Adding a GitHub action infrastructure to validate the CLDF format, adapting the one provided here as part of the Intercontinental Dictionary Series (IDS) (Key and Comrie 2023).
  • Adding the code to validate the CLDF dataset in terminal.
  • Adding the code to test-deploy locally the CLDF dataset in the cross-linguistic linked data (CLLD) web framework (Forkel 2023).
