Iteration 4 Statistics & Testing
- Iteration Goals
- Team Goal
- After our meeting with the client
- Documentation on the product
- Discussion on the spirit / values of the staff
- Discussion on the development process
- Reflecting on the project and the course
- Meeting Summary Feedback From Client
- We will do a series of tests (in addition to testing of each iteration) on the application, server and database.
- We will meet with our client to show them the final product and hear what they have to say about an experiment they have made.
Each team member has this Iteration task so that the tasks are distributed properly. Each of us can update the code and commit to it. This way of working makes it easier for us to track each other's work and helps us to finish the iteration in minimum time.
After our meeting with the client we were asked to add several functions. For a short time we finished the two new functions that the customer requested.
-
The system was developed as a web system with a server side and a client in Angular 2. It relies on Google Maps services and firebase database.
-
The system was developed both as an application and as a website that serves as a database. The role of the application is to collect reports from the field that parent patrols fill, for each such report we collect more information such as team location, event time, etc.
-
On the site we present the information and give the coordinators the possibility to search reports according to certain criteria, see maps where happened every event and what happens in real-time real-life neighborhoods.
-
So they can get a broad picture of what is happening on their tours and maximize the effectiveness of the activity.
-
During the course we built an application and a website that provide this body with the ability to track the route during the tour, marking important points where there are various activities requiring response and the system of filling reports in the application in real time in the tour and at the end.
-
The site has different permissions for different users of the system, so the leaders of the association will be able to change and make any changes they want in the application easily.
- We worked with some new programming languages we had never learned in Angular 2.
- New programming languages caused some difficulty, but we were able to overcome it with the help of the teaching staff.
- During the work a company from the staff finished their tasks earlier than others, they helped other team members. This allows the spread of knowledge among all of us.
-
At first we met with the union, heard the problems they face today and gave an idea for solving the problem.
-
After that we started working on the app. We saw what we could and could not provide to the Association because of lack of time or ability during the course of studies.
-
We met again with the union and presented them with the product that we could provide and re-evaluate our expectations. We continued to be in constant contact with the union in miles and telephones during the entire project.
-
During the project, we dealt with a problem that the union contacted us but because of the size of the project and the short time there is a possibility for additional developments of the project in which the union is interested.
- Taking a point that was "pinned" during a tour and giving a name to the point in real time and other information about it.
- Providing a system that will consolidate all the statistics of all the tours and thus will receive the necessary information in a simpler and faster way to streamline the process.(Currently statistics are kept for each tour or event separately and the union must consolidate the results to continue working on the subject).
-
Schedule management - Throughout the project, we learned about the meaning and importance of managing time for maximum success.
-
Learn how to interact with customers, how to focus on key requirements and explain customers about technology to non-technical people.
-
Teamwork- In this project we learned to work together as a team, how to divide the work between us. Since we work as a group, each of us updates the code using his own computer, and we had to learn to manage and prevent work-related problems.
-
New technologies: During the project we were exposed to a number of new technologies. Since we did not have a team of experts in these technologies, we had to spend some time to understand how to use them as a team.
-
Working with a project client: During the project we had to deal with the real customer requirements and do things as he wanted and see fit.
-
Project size: For the first time during our studies we had to deal with one large and complex project, so we need to learn and adjust the different way to work.
-
We met with a member of the Jerusalem Anti-Drug and Alcohol Association. We showed them all the product work and reviewed the code with them.
-
so that the feature they could change things freely in their applications.
-
our client deeply impressed. He saw the effort we put to achive the most in such a little time and complimented us about our seriousness and the significant progress since our last session.
-
Basicly, the client felt massive satisfied from the product we have shown to him.
-
Is the production of quality information from the content we collect and hope that one of the team will continue with the project for a final project and finish what we started ..
-
We hope that with the help of the system, the Jerusalem Association will be able to obtain a broader picture of what is actually happening within the neighborhoods and thus provide a better response to the youth and to the various tours
