Rule of Sum If there are π‘˜ objects of the first type and there are 𝑛 objects of the second type, then there are 𝑛 + π‘˜ objects of one of two types β€’ Important lesson: in the rule of sum no object should belong to both classes! β€’ Set is the data structure that we use when order does not matter. in Math the order does not matter in a set. β€’ There is a correspondance between set operations and boolean expressions. & intersection | union the intersection is the multiplication, 3 or 2 means that the intersection is those that are divided by 6
