Customer needs

Assess current / potential customer needs and evaluate whether they are being met (to secure customer loyalty and therefore market share):

  • product needs (features)
  • process needs (interaction w/ business)
  • people (staff & customer service)
  • price (total cost of ownership, pricing structure etc)

Evaluate competition

Analyse internal efficiency and systems of own organisation

Review macro environment outside organisation

Summarise and synthesise all findings
