Thanks - I've taken a slightly different direction on a couple of these changes; plus there's a bunch of other updates needed to reflect the changes in the support package. I've incorporated those changes into #7.

There's likely going to be some more changes; I want to get the build working with crossenv, which should open up rust builds of cryptography (plus simplify other tooling).
