What are we going to do?! Time is short! I'll spit out a few general ideas. Please help me solidify it.

we should try to keep a sense of working together at the 'camp'. pair/group people up?

Weeks:

  1. Introduction to FreeCodeCamp

  2. Explanation of what it is, its resources, and our goals as the local chapter.

  3. Icebreakers. Overview of what is currently covered and what you can expect to learn now and in the future.

  4. Setting everyone up with the system / introduction to the community chat.

  5. Start on HTML/CSS

  6. HTML Projects

  7. Finish HTML/CSS/Bootstrap/jQuery

  8. Work on HTML projects individually or in groups

  9. Show and tell ^

  10. Sneak peak of JavaScript

  11. Basic JavaScript

  12. Self-paced, group study of JS

  13. Explanation of core principles as well as practice with hand-crafted challenges

  14. Think about non-profits to help / projects to do.

  15. Advanced JS, Projects, Competitions

  16. Continue JS

  17. Introduce to community’s active projects and gamified coding challenges

  18. Group activities

1. Work on projects in groups or Compete in challenges

2. Climb the leaderboard

3. Maybe prizes for highest in leaderboard as well as prizes for the competitions?

Maybe make our own simple challenges and people will use repl.it to solve it. Since it is on repl.it, we can show some of the people's solutions showing there are different ways to come to the same solution.
