Use Normal background color and more ambient fg
Set ColorColumn to be same as CursorLine/CursorColumn
If ctermbg == ctermfg then VertSplit's fg defaults to terminal's fg color.

Awesome scheme!
Here are some small updates for things that you might not use/notice. I've only changed 256 color sections. Ambient ColorColumn is a bit of a personal choice, so you might not agree on that.
