Midori now supports the creation and use of [access keys](https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/create-a-passkey-mchl4af65d1a/mac) stored in iCloud Keychain on macOS.
Midori now imports user-added TLS trust anchors (e.g. certificates) from the OS root store. This will be enabled by default on Windows, macOS and Android, and if necessary, can be disabled in the settings (Privacy and security certificates settings).
The standard web [API storage access](https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/API/Storage_Access_API) was updated to improve security, while mitigating website breakage and further enabling the removal of third party cookies in Midori.
Midori supports a new “Copy Link Without Site Tracking” feature in the context menu that ensures that copied links no longer contain tracking information.
Midori now more proactively blocks downloads from URLs that are deemed potentially untrusted.
Anti-Fingerprinting
Web Audio in Midori now uses the FDLIBM math library on all systems to improve anonymity with Fingerprint Protection.
As part of Total Cookie Protection, Midori now supports Blob URL partitioning, this mitigates a potential tracking vector that third party agents could use to track an individual.
To mitigate handwriting fingerprinting, font visibility to websites has been restricted to system fonts and language pack fonts when in private browsing mode or with enhanced tracking protection with strict mode.
Midori’s private windows and ETP-Strict privacy settings now enhance the canvas APIs with fingerprint protection.
To reduce user fingerprinting information and the risk of some website compatibility issues, the CPU architecture for 32-bit x86 Linux will now be reported as x86-64 in the User-Agent firewall string and navigator.platformy navigator.oscpuAPI web.
Video playback
Enable AV1 hardware decoding acceleration in macOS for macOS for mac3 Macs.
Midori now supports the AV1 codec for encrypted media extensions (EME), enabling higher quality playback from streaming video providers.
NVIDIA RTX Video Video Super Resolution is now available from Midori. RTX VSR enhances and sharpens lower resolution video when upscaled to higher resolutions and also eliminates blocky artifacts commonly visible in low bitrate video streams. VSR requires at least a 20 series RTX RTX GPU or higher, Microsoft Windows 10/11 64-bit and NVIDIA driver version R530 or higher. The feature can be enabled in the NVIDIA control panel.
NVIDIA RTX Video HDR is now available on Midori. RTX Video HDR automatically converts DDR video to vibrant HDR in real-time, allowing you to enjoy video with enhanced clarity on your HDR1 panel. Requires at least one NVIDIA RTX 20-series GPU, Microsoft Windows 10/11 64-bit, and NVIDIA driver version 550 or higher. The feature can be enabled in the NVIDIA control panel.
Linux
Midori now anticipates Wayland compositor when it is available instead of XWayland. This brings support for touchpad and touchscreen gestures, sliders to nav, data per DPI monitoring, improved graphics performance and more.
macOS (Coming soon)
Midori now supports [Voice Control commands](https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/use-voice-control-commands-mh40719/mac) on macOS systems.
Links and other focusable items are now tab-navigable by default in macOS, rather than following the macOS “dashboard navigation” setting. This is a more accessible default and matches the default on all other platforms. A checkbox on the settings page still allows users to restore the old behavior.
Midori on Mac now uses the macOS fullscreen API for all types of fullscreen windows. This should better match the expected macOS user experience for fullscreen, menu and dock spaces.
