This was very helpful, thanks Ryan! I jumped in and made a couple more changes (including taking a similar approach for the plugin options) and now this feels great. Thanks for jumpstarting it! (That TODO had been there for ages) |

I saw the TODO comment in this file and I thought I'd take a stab at moving the shared stuff into a common function.
