The tanuki java service wrapper is used to launch Java applications as a "service". It provides capabilities for starting/stopping and monitoring your service. This project has some "convenience" methods and classes for using the service wrapper with a jruby application. Please note... this was literally my first JRuby project in 2008. I didn't think to make it "public" at the time. Now at least one other person is trying to do this and in an effort to save some pain I thought I could make this public.
