Thinstation-HZDR v1.4
This is the 1.4 release of the HZDR fork of thinstation. It features the following improvements compared to the last release:
- merged repository to latest upstream thinstation 5.2-master repository including a newer base kernel (3.14.9).
- worked around problem with missing HDMI audio due to incorrect kernel dependencies between snd-hda-intel and i915.
- changed window manager to xfwm4 which supports all X11 extensions ThinLinc requires for proper multi-monitor support.
- general/minor improvements
Thinstation-HZDR v1.3
This is the 1.3 release of the HZDR fork of thinstation. It features the following improvements compared to the last release:
- updated environment merged with the upstream thinstation repository including a newer base kernel (3.12.17).
- modified standard cpu frequency scaling to use "conservative" governor instead.
- modified 'qutselect' environment to also contain a firefox kiosk mode which allows to run a firefox kiosk session in full mode rather than server connections only. This is used by our own public library.
- added more hid-* modules per default so that more different keyboards are supported (e.g. apple keyboards).
- changed fastboot and pkg network reloading to use http (via wget) rather than exclusively tftp. This severely speeds up loading of the lib.squash and external pkgs.
- new 'thinlinc_nightly' package which will allow to download & install nightly builds to ThinLinc.
- minor bugfixes and improvements.
