Use shortcut DuckDuckGo !Bang to search for string

Stephen edited this page Dec 9, 2018 · 1 revision

Using the url bar you can use the DuckDuckGo !Bang to search for a command/string at explainshell.com

It is probably most useful if you use DDG as your default search engine, since you would only have to type !xsh command that I want to search

Currently the following aliases work:

  • !xsh
  • !explainshell
  • !esh

Example: !explainshell du -cs * .[^\.]* 2>/dev/null | sort -n | tail -n 10
