Release checklist

To be done by maintainers before each release:

The target commit for the release has passed the CI;
Quality Assurance:
- Static Analysis has been run and shows no regression;
- Code Coverage is comparable or better than the previous release;
The release note is complete and ready to be published.

Right after each release:

Update the compatibility matrix of ALSA and FileSystem plugins.
Update the doxygen: run make doc and put the results in the gh-pages branch (TODO: give a more complete explanation).
