This firmware is configured to be used with a modified Creality Ender-3 Max 3D printer.
- Stock 32-bit silent mainboard V4.2.2 - The aftermarket V4.2.7 mainboard requires configuration changes.
Please verify that your printer has the correct mainboard installed as described in the BLTouch installation below. - Ender-3 V2 4.3" DWIN LCD instead of original 12864 LCD
- BLTouch Sensor installed for automatic bed levelling
Replaced the original old-fashioned 12864 LCD display with 4.3" DWIN LCD from the Ender-3 V2

- Unplug the ribbon cable on the backside of the old 12864 LCD
- Remove the two screws into the 4040 base profile on the front side of the metal holding bracket
- Attach the new LCD mounting bracket to side of the same 4040 base profile
- Connect the existing ribbon cable to the DWIN LCD and slide it to the mounting bracket
Added an original BLTouch Bed Levelling Sensor
Installation goes easiest with a kit from Creality which includes a suitable metal bracked and the right cable

- Carefully connect the cable to the BLTouch sensor
- Attach BLTouch sensor to the gantry on the right hand side of the printing head. Use the Ender-3 Max bracket and the provided screws
- Attach the sensor cable to the wire harness using cable ties
- Open the mainboard housing on the front left side of the printer (frontmost screw on top side, all three screws on bottom side)
- Remove the bottom cover and connect the cable
- Connect the sensor cable to the 5-pin port labeled "BL_T". It can be found right next to the display ribbon cable connector near the front side of the printer
- Very Important: Make sure you have the correct "V4.2.2" mainboard. You can find the version number printed below the Creality logo near the center of the mainboard
- Check all connections to the mainboard, and especially the cable that goes to the fan on the bottom cover. It should be connected to the "K-FAN2" port on the mainboard
- Re-attach all four screws. The longest one goes into the rearmost hole on the bottom side
- You can use the bed levelling sensor after installing the new firmware
- Silicone bed levelling columns instead of springs
- Aluminium bed level nuts
- Z-axis supporting rods
