Hi,
thanks for creating this library! I was using it and also needed the keyscan functionality. So I've added support for it and created this PR and would like to add it to your project to make it more complete.
I also took the liberty to implement some corresponding changes around it, but AFAIK no backward incompatibilities have been introduced.
