πŸš€ About Me

I am a fourth-year student at San JosΓ© State University, majoring in Engineering Technology - Computer Network Systems Management with a minor in Business Administration and Math! My academic journey and hands-on experience from my past have fueled my passion for Machine Learning, Software/Cloud-Defined Networking, best Network Design and Optimization practices, Computer Architecture, and Business Management with customer-facing issues.

With a strong foundation in both network and software disciplines, I’m always exploring ways to leverage my skills to create a positive impact. Whether it’s through designing robust networks, crafting efficient software, or integrating cutting-edge technologies, my goal is to contribute meaningfully to the world around me!

πŸ’» Experience

Network Support Engineer Intern β€’ Cisco Meraki (May 2024 - Aug 2024)

  • Collaborated with a team of four network engineers to design and implement "the vWAN," a Python-based API that ensures seamless failover of all NAT and port-forwarding rules across Meraki appliances, dynamically managing MX uplinks with multiple ISPs in real-time.
  • Diagnosed and resolved over 150 complex networking issues within the Cisco Meraki ecosystem with Wireshark and SSH, encompassing wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and IoT devices.
  • Delivered expert troubleshooting solutions to Cisco clients, partners, and organizations in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, QoS/CoS, VLAN, VRRP, LACP, SD-WAN, secure transport methods (SSH, TLS, IPsec), VPCs, (Auto)VPNs, arranging procedures to mitigate issues for reduced network interruptions/outages quickly.
  • Contributed to effective communication between cross-functional teams from sales and customer support to software teams, to address tailored solutions and alignment for clients on project goals and customer satisfaction with prompt issue resolution.

Software Engineer Intern (Backend) β€’ IBM (Jun 2022 - Aug 2022)

  • Achieved hands-on experience in IBM Cloud’s infrastructure and computing technologies via Kubernetes for orchestration and Docker for containerization to ensure efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
  • Developed shell scripts for automation, refined code, and hosted applications using IBM Cloud and Cloud Foundry to enable CI/CD for seamless rollouts.
  • Facilitated and maintained images to manage over 5 APIs for clean, well-documented, and ease-of-use applications, improving integration efficiency by 30%.
  • Designed reusable and scalable microservices for servers, leading to a 25% reduction in response times and improved system performance.

Google Computer Science Summer Institute Scholar (CSSI) β€’ Google (Jul 2020 - Aug 2020)

  • Developed coding projects in a team environment, focusing on foundational programming concepts.
  • Gained mentorship from Google engineers and enhanced my skills in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and Python's PyTorch.

πŸ› οΈ Projects

Project Sentinel β€’ San JosΓ© State University (Oct 2023 - May 2024)

  • Volunteered to lead the design and blueprint of a custom drone attachment using a Raspberry Pi 5 to promote the functionality of commercial drones, showcasing technical leadership and project management skills with Gantt Charts and weekly check-ins.
  • Utilized Python (OpenCV, Flask) for scripting and multi-threading to install a hardware abstraction layer to optimize system performance for software-to-hardware integrations.
  • Built a website using JavaScript and HTML/CSS hosted on a Raspberry Pi as the server (Flask) to enable real-time monitoring and control of the drone's enhanced features.

Theta Tau SpacePark β€’ San JosΓ© State University (Mar 2022 - May 2022)

  • Led the hardware sub-team to create an embedded systems device for tracking car occupancy in a garage and the construction of a custom SolidWorks enclosure for the Arduino Nano 33 IoT & Ultrasonic Distance Sensors (HC-SR04).
  • Integrated hardware components to Google Firebase API using C/C++ firmware to ensure simultaneous communication.
  • Utilized Google Firebase Cloud Firestore for data storage, PlatformIO for firmware development, and Git for version control.
