Splash Screen Android Studio

Step 1 : Create A new Empty Activity named as Splash Activity.

Step 2: Go to activity_splash.xml and changed it to Relative Layout

Step 3: Declare an ImageView inside of Relative Layout(So as to add your icon)

Step 4 : Go to SplashActivity.java and in the onCreate Method Declare

new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable(){
            @Override
            public void run() {
                Intent i = new Intent(SplashActivity.this, MainActivity.class);
                startActivity(i);
                finish();
            }
        }, 3000);

Note here: 3000 is the 3sec for my app, you can declare according to your convenience

Step 5: Go to AndroidManifest.xml file and change the default launcher activity to .SplashActivity by changing the Intent-filter
