DonationQuest is an app to provide an easy solution to seamlessly integrate eco-friendly practices in a fast-paced life. We want to show our users that eco-friendly living is affordable and easy by giving them the power to users to choose where to donate, and what to donate. To run latest version of DonationQuest, refer to the "Run Prototype" section for detailed instructions.
- Take a picture of your object or select the item from the drop down menu
- Select where you want to donate it
- Use Google Maps to drive to the donation site
- Get points on your donation to use via coupons from local businesses in your area or volunteer hours
- Browse through library of nonprofits available
- view statistics from your recent donations on the homepage
The following was used to either develop the app or integrate functionality:
- Miro - Storyboarding App Features and Ideation process
- Adobe XD - designing UI
- Firebase - store user and nonprofit information
- Google Maps API - give directions to donation site
- OpenVision - Object detection
- Android Studio - development

If you are unable to view the apk file through the link follow these steps:
- Go to releases section of the repository (below about section of the repo)
- Click the tags and go to "First Release"
- 3 files should appear (apk and source code)
- Download apk from here
- Integrate object detection to analyze item pictures to see quality of the items donated
- Integrate ride sharing (Uber or Lyft)
- Implement monetary donations
- Smoothen out rewards page with a badge system
